I choose to make a separate thread as I need to tile a splashback where the cabinets and benchtop go in first then tile villaboard not sure what type of nails or screws should I use to penetrate the brick wall behind the board?
The other question is what should I use to space between the benchtop and the tiles as a batten is out of the question and the tiles are heavy porcelain?
Other than the green light from an adhesive supplier, the only other option is to use a concrete planer/scarifier. These can be hired from specialty hire stores or get a pro in. Forget concrete...
