Okay you pro tilers here is what I am thinking of doing.....
I have layed a house full of polished porc tiles. 1mm grout joints. I love them. When I started my floor was not absolutley flat. A few tiles are around .5 mm too high or low. This may not sound much but after about .5mm these joints are noticable to the bare foot - but strangley not the eye. In my quest for flatness I was thinking of honing the sharp edge with a diamond stone. I think this will take away the harshness but I was wondering has anyone tried to bring in a concrete polisher to smooth things up a bit. I wonder what the reflective effect would be. Cost? etc.

You will either have to remove the offending tiles and relay them level, a messy & somewhat intricate job in itself......or put up with it & remind yourself that this is why tiling is a trade.
