    Default Wall tiling over "Lami-panel"

    Hi Guys,
I'm quoting on a job at the moment where the customer want to tile over existing "lami-panel" sheeting (laminex sheeting) on a bathroom wall. I mentioned that the surface needs to be etched/roughened to allow a good surface for the adhesive to key to, but my concern is that the sheeting may contain asbestos. Does anyone have experience in dealing with this stuff and have any ideas as to how to proceed?
I did my own bathroom 16 years ago, but I simply unscrewed the paneling and turned it around to tile on the back (unlaminated) side).

    Any ideas?
