Re: Laser Levels they vary a bit in price look for features like self leveling and check out the strength of the laser some are hard to see over distance also one with a variable rotation helps (one you can stop and rotate slowly)

Re: Laser Levels My Stanley one was around $500 and in all honesty wasn't any better than the Bosch one i just bought for i think $150. They were both accurate to within .8mm over 7 metres. The stanley one was more for outdoor building work i think and was a rotating laser, the bosch just shoots a vertical and horizontal line which is all I need. Oh well live and learn.

Re: Laser Levels i mainly use a laser for the walls...comes with a pole. Only use the floor laser to check measurements for setting out more complex floors.......i.e if there are lots of rooms .....opening into each other...makes squaring alot easier.

Re: Laser Levels I'm in the same boat Notch. I use them on occasions but haven't purchased one as yet.
We had a demonstration on site a couple of years ago by one company flogging them . We squared a section of floor using the old 3,4,5 method to test it's accuracy. It was off by some degree so I wasn't too impressed.
I think they are great for bathrooms though, where the tiling is full height . Pretty hard to make a mistake with them and they seem pretty accurate over small distances.

Re: Laser Levels the pls 360 was the best laser i ever used, it was also the first.I was blown away how much time it saved me the first time i used it.This laser is very accurate and casts a solid line around the room, a 360 degree line.Other lasers i currently use do not do this, i have to manually move the laser around as i progress.Heres a link to the pls 360, this laser can be purchased in australia but its probably around 600, but if you do lots of wall tiling, its the best..
